No longer a working cotton plantation, this large expanse of rolling hills, fields and pine forests has been converted into a sportsman’s paradise, complete with exceptional meals and gracious accommodations. The "main house," built in 1841 for the plantation master, is just a stones-throw away from the old mule barn and the original cotton gin. Scattered about in the pecan orchard are several of the original slave quarters. These historical buildings, along with the century old baptismal found in the woods, make for interesting exploration and dinner conversation. For most guests, however, it’s the superb hunting and fishing, coupled with equally outstanding personal attention and comfort, which are the keys to Old Spring Hill Plantation’s success. Most guests are amazed to discover this rare blend of modern day game management success coupled with the charm and style of hosts genuinely dedicated to making certain every guest has a memorable time. Old Spring Hill Plantation is best known for its uncompromising standards of quality. Every aspect of the operation, from the freshly scented towels in each room to the immaculate, well maintained grounds, must meet or exceed the expectations of the most discriminating guest. Catering to both individual and corporate needs, the lodge is designed to provide comfort, relaxation and privacy. Hors d'oeuvres are served at the open bar where guests gather to relax and socialize after their day a field. Delicious meals are skillfully prepared and served family style. Private and semi-private bedrooms are comfortably furnished, each with its own private bath.
